Are your supply chain data scientists struggling to bridge the gap between the math and real-life operations?
We understand, and in two weeks – May 8 & 9 in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota – we have the intensive, hands-on training to transform the way your data scientists support you.
Unlike much of data science training, Our unique value prop is that we understand both sides – the technical and the practical – and want to upskill your supply chain data scientists to add real value.
Now is the time to invest in your supply chain data team! Learn supply chain design, inventory optimization, forecasting, and more!
Our training team (Ralph Asher, MS and Jeff Clement, PhD) have experience in Fortune 500, academia, and the military, in both data science and supply chain management.
Participants will learn how to apply these data science concepts within supply chain management:
- Time Series Forecasting
- Geographic Data Analysis
- Linear Modeling
- Supply Chain Network Design and Optimization
- Inventory Optimization
- Supply Chain Simulation
- Automated Reporting
Training will be offered using the R programing language and the Posit Cloud IDE. Participants will take home all code examples, and a training booklet. If you’re new to R, we will suggest resources to get you up to speed so your training days are as productive as possible. If you’re a Python user, the concepts and learnings from these two days goes beyond just “code” – enabling you to be a better data scientist than when you started.
We value the collaboration and sparks of insight that occur with in-person training. We may explore a virtual option in the future, but for now it is in-person.
Training Venue
We’re holding it at Open Book, a charming literary collective in the Downtown East neighborhood of Minneapolis, near US Bank Stadium, Mill City Museum, Guthrie Theater, and University of Minnesota. We held training here in 2023 with participants from blue-chip companies like Ecolab and Target. The venue is amazing:
Open Book has limited free, on-site parking, with paid street parking and garages nearby. Uber and Lyft operate throughout the area. Open Book is a short walk from the US Bank Stadium Light Rail Station, with rail service to downtown Minneapolis, downtown St Paul, and the Airport / Mall of America area.
We will provide morning coffee and bagels or donuts. For lunch, many restaurants are within walking distance or a short drive. Open Book has a kitchenette and refrigerator if you want to bring lunch and snacks.
For out of town guests, there are hotel options near Open Book. Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport (MSP) is about 10 miles away, with direct flights to over 100 cities.
Tourism information for the Minneapolis-St Paul area, including lodging options, can be found at Explore Minnesota and Meet Minneapolis.
